Scuba Class and Scuba Pool Training can be done on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday nights, or Saturday mornings.

Private Open Water Scuba Dives can be scheduled on any day of the week between 8:00am and 6:30pm.

• What are the prerequisites?
Anyone who is in good health, reasonably fit, and comfortable swimming in water can earn their Open Water Scuba Diver certification
• What will I do?
Throughout the scuba course, you’ll learn fundamentals of scuba diving, including scuba diving equipment and techniques. You earn your Open Water scuba certification card by completing two scuba classes and pool sessions and completing four open water scuba dives.
• How long will it take?
This will depend on which option for scuba classes you take. We offer both weeknight and weekend scuba classes, along with 24/7 private executive scuba classes. For the weeknight option, you will need to spend 2 scuba class and pool sessions, which run from 6pm to 10pm, and then complete four Open Water Scuba Evaluation Dives, which are normally the two nights after the class and pool sessions (weather permitting).
For the weekend scuba class, you will spend Friday night doing a scuba class and pool session, 6pm to 10pm. On Saturday, you will do another scuba class and pool session in the morning, starting at 9am. At around 1pm, you will go to Pearl Lake to complete the first of your Open Water Scuba Evaluation Dives, and you will be done at about 4pm. On Sunday, from about 8am to 2pm, you will finish your remaining scuba evaluation dives.
For 24/7 private scuba classes, you may call to receive a quote on how much scuba classes will cost for a certain date and time. Add $100 for private scuba pool sessions, add $100 for private open water scuba sessions. After your scuba class and pool sessions, along with your Open Water scuba dives have been completed and verified, you will need to provide a picture for your Open Water Scuba Certification card. Once your Open Water Scuba Certification card has been printed, you may pick it up from our scuba facility.
• What will I need to do and what do I need to bring to scuba class?
All bookwork must be completed before your first scuba class and pool session. Bring your own towel, swimsuit, and ink pen to the scuba class and pool sessions.
