Dan Johnson

Dan fell in love with scuba diving on his first dive at Pearl Lake in 1973.

Over the following 10 years, Dan discovered two shipwrecks off of the coast of Racine Winsconsin’s Wind Point Lighthouse. His first discovery, the Kate Kelly, a schooner which sank during a blinding snowstorm in May 1895. His second discovery, the Lumberman, was also a schooner which sank in April 1893.

In 1984, Dan founded Loves Park Scuba which has grown to become recognized as one of the largest scuba shops in the Midwest.

Dan met Remi Johnson, his wife, during a dive trip to Cozumel, Mexico. They have now been married for 7 years.

Dan has performed countless dives in Pearl Lake and trains numerous divers in its clear open waters each year.
