Ready for another great Midwest diving adventure?

Join Loves Park Scuba for a weekend of diving at Devil’s Lake State Park in Baraboo, Wisconsin. This trip is designed to bring our diving community together for a relaxed weekend of underwater exploration, practice, and fun.

Devil’s Lake offers a very different diving experience from our regular local sites. Surrounded by dramatic rock formations, forest, and beautiful Wisconsin scenery, it is an excellent destination for certified divers who want to get underwater, maintain their skills, gain experience, and enjoy diving with friends.

A FULL WEEKEND OF DIVING

Our adventure begins Friday afternoon at Loves Park Scuba, where we will meet for final equipment checks and a weekend briefing before traveling to Baraboo.

Saturday and Sunday will be dedicated to diving. We are planning up to five dives during the weekend, depending on weather, conditions, diver experience, and individual preferences.

This isn't about rushing from one dive to another. We want everyone to have time to enjoy the lake, explore, practice skills, spend time with other divers, and simply have a great weekend.

WHAT CAN YOU DO AT DEVIL’S LAKE?

The weekend is open to Open Water Divers and above, making it a great opportunity for both newer and experienced divers.

Depending on your goals, dives can focus on recreational exploration or activities such as underwater navigation, buoyancy and trim, Search & Recovery, underwater photography, refresher skills, or simply adding more dives to your logbook.

Devil’s Lake reaches approximately 47 feet, so it is well suited to recreational diving, but we would not use this destination for Deep Diver training.

COME PREPARED FOR MIDWEST DIVING

Devil’s Lake is still Midwest diving, so proper exposure protection is important. A 7 mm wetsuit, hood, gloves and boots is a good general starting point, with the final recommendation depending on actual water temperatures and conditions.

Bring your certification card, dive computer, personal scuba equipment, exposure protection, towels, water, snacks, lunch, and clothing appropriate for changing Wisconsin weather.

MAKE IT A WEEKEND

Divers will be responsible for arranging their own accommodations for Friday and Saturday nights. Baraboo offers several hotel options, while nearby Wisconsin Dells can be a great choice for anyone bringing family or non-divers who want additional restaurants, shopping, attractions, and entertainment.

Hotel accommodations, meals, transportation, park admission, and personal scuba equipment are not included.

MORE THAN JUST ANOTHER DIVE

One of the best parts of scuba diving is the community that comes with it.

Trips like Devil’s Lake give us an opportunity to take what we learned in training and turn it into real diving experience. Every different environment teaches us something: better buoyancy, better navigation, better equipment management, greater confidence, and greater awareness underwater.

And, of course, more dives mean more experience.
