At Loves Park Scuba, we believe diving is a year-round adventure! That's why we're inviting certified divers, scuba enthusiasts, and anyone interested in aquatic activities to join our Winter Open Water Program.

Our heated indoor swimming pool, maintained at a comfortable temperature above 80°F, provides the perfect environment to practice your skills, explore different diving equipment, meet fellow divers, and enjoy the water throughout the winter.

All equipment demonstrations are FREE!

Advance reservations are required for equipment demonstrations. Participation is subject to equipment availability, instructor supervision, and applicable safety prerequisites. Demonstrations are introductory experiences and do not replace formal specialty training or certification.

 

 

BUOYANCY CLINICS & PERSONALIZED INSTRUCTION

FLORIDA OPEN WATER CERTIFICATION GETAWAY

Loves Park Scuba is excited to introduce our Florida Open Water Certification Getaway, a convenient and flexible opportunity for students to complete their Open Water certification dives in the beautiful waters of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Students complete their academic and pool training at Loves Park Scuba before traveling to Florida for their four required Open Water evaluation dives.

TRAVEL ITINERARY

Day	Activity
Sunday – Arrival	Fly from Rockford (RFD) to Fort Lauderdale (FLL). Estimated arrival around 2:30 PM. Hotel check-in, equipment preparation, and orientation.
Monday – Diving Day 1	Complete Open Water Training Dives #1 and #2, preferably from shore.
Tuesday – Diving Day 2	Complete Open Water Training Dives #3 and #4, followed by final skills evaluations and certification paperwork.
Wednesday – Free Day	Enjoy Fort Lauderdale! Relax at the beach, explore local attractions, go shopping, or simply enjoy your vacation. No diving is scheduled.
Thursday – Departure	Early morning flight from Fort Lauderdale back to Rockford. Estimated departure around 6:20–6:30 AM.

Flight times are estimates based on previously reviewed schedules and must be confirmed for each travel date.

TWO TRAINING OPTIONS

OPTION 1 — STANDARD REFERRAL PROGRAM

Complete your four Open Water certification dives with an instructor from one of our partner dive centers in Fort Lauderdale.

This option is ideal for students who have successfully completed their pool training and feel comfortable continuing their certification with a local instructor.

OPTION 2 — PERSONALIZED TRAINING WITH LOVES PARK SCUBA

For students who prefer additional attention, guidance, and continuity, a Loves Park Scuba instructor can accompany them to Florida and provide personalized training during their certification dives.

This option is especially beneficial for students who need additional confidence-building or individualized instruction.

Additional instructor travel and training fees apply. Availability and instructional arrangements must be confirmed in advance.

The four Open Water dives are subject to weather conditions, student readiness, instructor availability, and the standards of the applicable certification agency.

Certification is awarded only after all required skills and evaluations have been successfully completed.

Travel dates, flight schedules, hotel availability, and package prices will be confirmed before booking.
