Shark Season

January – March

This is the peak season for Lemon Sharks.

Hundreds of these beautiful sharks gather along Jupiter's reefs during their annual migration, creating one of the most spectacular shark diving experiences in the world.

Summer Months

Bull Sharks become more common, while reef sharks, turtles, and large schools of fish continue to provide unforgettable encounters.

Jupiter is truly a year-round diving destination.

Recommended Certification

Advanced Open Water Diver is highly recommended.

Because of the drift diving conditions and occasional depth, divers should be comfortable with:

  • Drift Diving

  • Surface Marker Buoy (SMB) deployment

  • Good buoyancy control

A Deep Diver Specialty is also beneficial for exploring some of the deeper ledges.

Travel Tips from Illinois

  • Fly into Palm Beach International Airport (PBI).

  • Jupiter is approximately 30 minutes north of the airport.

  • Bring or rent a dive computer.

  • Carry an SMB and reef hook if recommended by your dive operator.

  • Most dives are conducted from comfortable six-pack or larger charter boats.
